18650 × 3 is the best light 18650× 4 is too large. Bright anyway. Recommend to friends

(This is for the ZY 2400 2x 18650 version) The amount of light this puts out is really amazing. At 120 feet on high mode across the street it lights up the whole front of a Duplex bright like would be needed to do filming. Every person I've shown it to has been 'Jaw-stonished' at it's light output. Tailcap readings with two new and 'Broken in' Trustfire True 2400mah 18650's fresh charged to 4.16V.are High- 2.95A Mid- 1.55A, Low- 0.45A. (Strobe is a good/fairly fast one and the SOS is IMO a total waste after owning two or especially three flashlights with it- I must have a dozen of them by now -egad) Lux is 28K @ 3' but the main hot spot is about 8” in dia so the 1” sensor lens in the Luxmeter really isn't grabbing but just a small part of what it's putting out. The lead wires from the driver to the XML's (series) are heavier gauge than usual. Eyeballing them I'd say 26 or 24 and good shiny solder connections all throughout. The reflector head housing is quite heavy due to it's construction. The reflector is about 3/4” deep. On it's backside in the center a threaded hole and is held firmly in place by a machine screw(approx. 10 or 12...it's got to be metric so...) to a firewall(so to call it) which is a integral part of the reflector head itself and not a pill or drop in module.. Because of that the wall thickness of the housing is able to be made solid at 1/2” thick for it's center section then is pretty much standard thickness at the bezel and where the battery tube threads into it. Somebody was on the ball in designing it and the driver mounting setup which sits on a thin walled tube that is threaded in place and the driver is held atop it by a threaded retaining ring. So as far as heat sinking the XML's to the outer case they did a pretty good design application. There is a gap between the reflector outside wall and the housing interior wall but easy enough to add anywhere from carefully formed aluminum foil so solid as can be. Or what I did ...Sheet copper cut into strips made into rings one inside the other with consecutively thinner widths to compensate for the angle of the reflector wall(about a 20 degree angle) sweat fitted together solid and final shape filing so it touches the reflector outer wall and inside of the housing.(Do the aluminum foil if you want to add something in the gap...but now IMO it really doesn't need anything LOL) At 18' the hot spot main body is about 3 1/2'. It definitely is not a pencil beam thrower but does put the Lumen out a far distance. 3oo yards has been the furthest I was able to use it which was across a Elementary School play ground(lit the baseball diamond and outfield quite nicely...Then the Night Security Guards completely freaked out...Sheezz they're cranky when they just wake up). The color bin is very stark white so probably 1A or 1H. Bouncing the light in high mode off a 9' high white ceiling and looking directly at the reflecting light is very Retina irritating. Mine needed lube on all the threads and O rings(no biggie) and while I was into that went ridiculously overboard with the un-needed copper heatsink thing.. Price with shipping is very, very good for what you are getting so if your thinking about it without a doubt go for it and buy one.(Shipping was very fast too).
